What is BRICKTOBER?

Bricktober, a project of the Rotary Club of Ascot, is an annual event that showcases models built from LEGO® bricks, by amazing builders.

A family-friendly event that brings the community together, Bricktober combines displays built from LEGO® bricks with LEGO® activities for all ages, LEGO® products and exclusive Bricktober merchandise and food and drinks from local community partners.

Whether you are a LEGO® enthusiast or just looking for a fun day out with the family, Bricktober has something for everyone.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to see incredible LEGO® creations up close and participate in various activities designed to engage and entertain visitors of all ages on 5th and 6th October 2024 at Curtin Stadium.

Just $45 for a family pass, or $15 for a single ticket Bricktober offers exceptional value for money with proceeds supporting local and international Rotary projects.

BRICKTOBER’s History

Bricktober was first run in 2014 as a one day event, held in the Belmont City College Gymnasium.

Since then we have outgrown that location; moved to Cannington Exhibition Centre and Showgrounds; increased it to a 2 day event; and then moved again to our current location of Curtin Stadium. This will be our 8th exhibit here AND the 11th year Bricktober has been running.

We thank all the exhibitors for their wonderful creations and look forward to seeing what they have on offer for our 2024 event.

Beneficiaries of BRICKTOBER

The profits from Bricktober go towards supporting Rotary programmes and projects both locally and internationally.

Each year profits are split between three main areas:

  • Support for the Rotary Foundation Foundation. The Rotary Foundation is the fundraising arm of Rotary International and their major push currently is to end Polio around the world. The Rotary Foundation funds and develops programmes around the world that aim to achieve world understanding and peace through humanitarian, educational and cultural programs.
  • Continuation of our LEGO® Playtubs Programme. LEGO® bricks are purchased from the funds and donated to school and community groups who are setting up LEGO® Play Groups or have an existing LEGO® Play Group and have a need for more LEGO® for the people to play with. Each year we have funding enough to create more than 15 of these tubs.
  • Provide funding for local and international projects endorsed by the Ascot Rotary Club. Profits from 2022’s Bricktober have gone to providing Shelterboxes for those devastated by fire, famine, floods, earthquakes and other disasters; as well as assisting with a long term project in Timor L’Este to provide clean fresh drinking water to communities so children can go to school rather than fight the water buffaloes for the water for their household needs.
  • We also support a fund that assists youth to participate in leadership and development programmes.

Bricktober is hosted by The Rotary Club of Ascot (Inc.)
