The Rewards of Volunteering at Bricktober?

Volunteering at Bricktober

Are you a LEGO® enthusiast or someone looking to make a difference in our Perth community?

Volunteering at Bricktober offers a unique and fulfilling experience that goes beyond just having fun with bricks.

1. Make a Positive Impact

Volunteering at Bricktober directly contributes to raising funds for valuable causes. Your time and effort help support Rotary projects, community programs, and educational initiatives. Knowing that you’re making a difference in the lives of others is incredibly rewarding.

Funds raised from Bricktober support several causes:

  • The Rotary Foundation: The fundraising arm of Rotary International, currently focusing on ending polio worldwide. It funds and develops programs aimed at achieving global understanding and peace through humanitarian, educational, and cultural initiatives.
  • LEGO® Playtubs Programme: Provides LEGO® bricks to schools and community groups setting up or expanding LEGO® Play Groups. Each year, we fund more than 15 of these tubs, enhancing play and creativity for many children.
  • Local and International Projects: Endorsed by the Ascot Rotary Club, these include providing Shelterboxes to disaster-stricken areas and supporting long-term projects like providing clean drinking water in Timor L’Este.
  • Youth Leadership Programs: Supports funds that assist youth participation in leadership and development programs.

2. Connect with Like-Minded Enthusiasts

Our event attracts LEGO lovers from all walks of life. Volunteering gives you the opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts, share your passion, and even learn new building techniques. It’s a great way to make new friends who share your interests.

3. Develop New Skills

Volunteering at Bricktober isn’t just about having fun; it’s also a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills. From event planning and customer service to teamwork and leadership, the experience you gain can be invaluable for personal and professional growth.

4. Get an Insider’s Look at the Exhibition
